Lagos– Nigerians had their swagger renewed yesterday when the Super Eagles beat Burkina Faso to become the 2013 AFCON winners, but President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was not at Johannesburg to support the victorious Eagles.
It has now emerged that, contrary to the official explanation of President Jonathan’s absence from South Africa - namely that he wasn’t granted a visa, the real reason the President wasn’t at the Stadium to cheer on the Eagles was because he had been advised not to – if he wanted Nigeria to win.
Nigeria’s leading football analyst, Pastor T.B. Joshua, who has so far managed to accurately predict the outcomes of thousands of football matches, had earlier announced to the world that Nigeria would be victorious in the AFCON tournament.
Pastor Joshua, however, secretly revealed the rest of the vision upon which the prediction was based, to President Jonathan.
Witnesses claim that Pastor Joshua warned President Jonathan not to be in the vicinity of the match, if he wanted the Eagles to win. He warned that even the clearest vision of the future can be altered with enough bad luck.
Thus, it seems that President Jonathan’s decision to stay behind in London to watch the match on TV is nothing short of heroic, selfless, absolute patriotism.
