On Generals Obasanjo & Babangida spatting on who is a bigger fool!

What do we make of these two?

Submitted by tola adenle on August 19, 2011 – 05:28.

One laid the foundation for Nigeria’s perpetual starring on corruption indexes everywhere – General Babangida – while the other took the structure to the roofing stage ensuring that not even the worst that the elements could bring: rain, hailstones, whatever, would ever erase corruption from the face of this ill-starred country.  General Obasanjo.had the golden opportunity to erase the sour taste in Nigerians’ collective mouth by Babangida’s bizzarre government by “settlement” system but chose a path that has left Nigeria the most corrupt country in the world.  “Fool”?  These two men can hurl this abstract word at each other.  Nigerians have tons of words that are more suitable for them although this brewing melodrama points to a frustration on the part of both past MIS-governors  that could yield dividends for long-suffering Nigerians.  Otherwise, could we have quiet from these men? emotanafricana.com

On Justice Salami, President of  Appeals Court & his travails

“Fresh Air” across Nigeria

Submitted by tola adenle on August 19, 2011 – 05:46.

President G. Jonathan, is this the “fresh air” you promised would blow across Nigeria in your campaign’s humongous billboards one of which I’m forced to look at daily: an unconstitutional act by the NJC?  Meanwhile, SSS are supposedly hard at work in Kogi and, perhaps, other states “monitoring sermons” of Christian and Moslem clerics, as well as hotel premises to prevent “inflammatory speeches” that can lead to terror acts?  This is not what Nigerians even those who voted for you, expected of a “transformational leader” one of whose campaign posters gave hope: “I believe in change”.  This is not change, President Jonathan, this is status quo; this is business-as-usual when a body not empowered could remove the president of the Appeal Court.  emotanafricana.com

Still on Justice Salami, President of  Appeals Court “suspension”/”dismissal” by the Judicial Council

Unbelievable? This is Nigeria!

Submitted by tola adenle on August 19, 2011 – 06:01.

Stench over Nigeria!  One judge who should be on the deciding body is in India while another is on lesser Hajj.  Reuben Abati, get busy to spin this stench.  Presidential election petition has nothing to do with this disgraceful machination?  First, this guy got a promotion not wanted to the Supreme Court, a :promotion”, we are told, could not come to an appeals court president; okay, dust off the template and search for something else. Now, it is a dismissal that smells as fresh as the promotion from hell.  What next, Mr. President?  emotanafricana.com
