Baba Suwe goes on hunger strike: Lawyer alleges plot to sneak cocaine into his food

Lagos – It’s been nine days since Nollywood star, Baba Suwe, has been held by the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on suspicion of attempt to traffic drugs.

So far, the actor’s excrement has been subjected to various tasting and sniffing tests but only traces of kpomo, Amala, and Alomo Bittter also known as Casapreco, has been detected in his faeces and not illegal drugs.

This has angered his fans and colleagues who have demanded that the NDLEA should stop subjecting the superstar to the embarrassment of having to shit in front of people, but officials of the agency insist that the actor is using style to only shit normal shit while holding the shit that contains the drugs in his body.

The drama has now taken a decidedly dramatic turn with the star’s lawyer alleging knowledge of a secret evil plot by agents of the NDLEA to sneak narcotics into Baba Suwe’s food so as to save face after arresting and detaining him illegally.

Baba Suwe on his part has embarked on a hunger strike in protest of his continued detention and humiliation, but again NDLEA agents have a different take on his protest. According to them, his hunger strike is nothing but an attempt to postpone passing out the drugs until such a time when the agency would be compelled to let him go due to lack of evidence in his shit.

His lawyer had this to say: “If tomorrow, they say they have found cocaine in his shit, let the people of Nigerian just know that it was not in his stomach until they arrested him o! It is inside the food they have been feeding him there that they put the cocaine so as to implicate them. It is because we are suing them for N1Billion Naira and they don't want to pay."

An official of the NDLEA has responded by asking the salient question: “How does he know it is cocaine we would find inside his shit?”
