Buhari waiting for clean candidate as running mate

Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, has been unable to choose a running mate because he is waiting for a candidate who has never stolen a kobo of public funds.

This revelation was made by a party chieftain close to the Buhari campaign.

According to the source, the retired General has so far rejected every single candidate on the basis that they are richer than the jobs they have held could have possibly made them.

Buhari's rigid stance is currently causing a lot of panic within the party as potential candidates are now unwilling to come forward as they are afraid that the Presidential candidate will ask them to declare their assets.

Party chieftains are said to be working round the clock to salvage the situation. They are now considering previously unconsidered candidates, possibly even from outside the party and possibly even female.
