Localized pruritus (itching palms) is usually caused by contact dermatitis or hand eczema. A fungal or bacterial infection can also be responsible. Sometimes, it’s an allergic reaction to something the skin has come in contact with or something you have consumed orally.
Other causes include:
Obstructive biliary disease
Chronic renal failure
Peripheral nerve damage
Cholestasis disease of pregnancy
If the itching persists or worsens, contact your doctor.
Goodluck with all that.
