Law makers vote against death sentence for corrupt politicians

Meet the richest law makers in the universe

Abuja - Newly sworn in Nigerian law makers have for the first time in the history of Nigerian law making voted unanimously on a bill presented to them.

The proposed law, to sentence politicians and other public office holders who steal from the public purse to death, was presented by a CPC law maker who has since been suspended from the house.

Speaking to reporters in Abuja, a prominent member of the upper house explained his peer’s decision to kill the bill.

"We, are strongly against corruption, you must know this. But like most of the modern world, we are against the death penalty under any circumstance as only God gives life and only he has the power to take it," he said.

An amended bill to sentence thieving politicians to life imprisonment was also shouted down before a motion was moved to suspend the CPC law maker responsible for the obnoxious bills.

This last motion was also unanimously approved by all law makers present.

na wa o, so those people don't want to die or be jailed for life but they can send Nigerians to untimely death through their malicious embezzlement. They should tell us the suitable punishment for any public officer who steal from Nigeria Treasury as we know that a thief that steals a bag of rice that belongs to a Nigerian will surely go to jail but the one that steals a bag of money that belongs to all Nigerians where he/she goes???????????
