Abuja – The transformational agenda of President Jonathan Ebele Goodluck has been thrown into turmoil following the sudden resignation of finance minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

Accounts vary over what has led to her premature resignation just days after resuming in her new role but the president’s spokesman, Mr Reuben Abati, is expected to release a press statement blaming it on General Buhari and the CPC party.

Sources close to the former World Bank MD hint that her first action in her short-lived role as finance minister was to demand an inspection of the nation’s financial records.

Sources further claim that after reading through the federation accounts Dr Okonjo Iweala cried out in her native Igbo language and not long after that she handed in her hand written resignation.

Attempts to obtain a photocopy of the resignation letter failed due to a power outage at the ministry of finance but witnesses who have seen it have provided a transcript of its content:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for the confidence you’ve placed in me but this is beyond me, and I dare say, it is beyond any living person.
You don’t need me. You need God.
Good luck with all that.

Signed: Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

P.S: I donate my salaries till date to the Save Nigeria Fund (Prayer Group Committee).

- Ngozi A

Politics destroy any player in the game because it is a game of the insincere people, it is the world of chanches and opportunity. If you are not ready for dirty game do not work with devil. No matter your religion, you will need to involve in tuggery, feeding them and building trust in them. When the situation get screwed the tugs will come back to you for reward of their services or else you are doomed.

The resignation of Dr. Ngozi signifies a Red flag on the Nigeria economy. A proper check should be embark upon.

This is absolutely surprising to say the least. This is really overwhelming new to me as I just decided to open up the web in search of some good news from Nigeria since hearing that Ngozi had assumed the responsibility as the nation's finance minister, may I admit that I am utterly dismay about this shocking report of her resignation. My Lord and my father, help us! Where are we headed? How long are going to allow evil to reign at the top levels of government in our country? So short of word, I am simply puzzled. Indeed Good Luck Nigeria! As for Mrs. Iweala, her action was very wise, who knows, in the end, she would have become a laughing stock, a scape goat after looters have succeeded in their enterprise. I am deeply touched by this. Maybe, things might change, who know when that Messiah is going to come. Until then, we might as well continue to pray for the country, dear fellow co-patriots!

There is no way of validating this story because i have been off the news room for about three days now. If it is true that mama Ngozi resigned, then nigeria really needs God to make any improvement with this transformation agenda. God please be merciful and save Nigeria from herself.

Sweet parody. How can Nigerian govt miss this sarcasm...why are they denying a playful jibe? Truly the GEJ team has atrophied in ideas about moving forward.

I sure this joke is a brain child of enemies of this Nation. Those that never wish Nigerian good would never enjoy goodness of this land, we all must harvest what we sowed, it is not a choice but law of harvest that you must reap what you sown.

If Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala resigns after inspecting federation, the Fed Govt owes us the content.
It'll not be fair if she or Fed Govt hide what scares this prominent lady from performing a prestigious position offered to her.

All hands should be on deck to salvage our dear country and her economy. The least we need now is any form of distractions. We do not have any other country but Nigeria, even if we hold other developed countries passports.

I am a Regular visitor to this site and I enjoy relaxing myself by the postings. Anybody who can take the postings seriously must be a fool. What of the article about how obj tried to sell nija to investors and nobody wanted to buy. How could iweala take a site that wants to entertain seriously. Shame on all the abusers on this page.
Oroki Asala On 20/08/2011 12:47:22
It shows the level of thinking in the govt that a site that states it is all satire except articles that are marked not as satire would be taken to a stage that a minister is taking it seriously. This is a disgrace to Nigeria.
ohanete o o On 20/08/2011 12:31:13
you ficticious lying criple should live our minister of ministers alone. this time around she will deal with all the criminal that hang on the corridors of power for to create a slow space of progress for Nigeria.
the time for Nigeria to move forward is now or never. if we fail the time around, we have no option than to call for the disintegration of this country PERIOD.

Denial is a typical African response to everything. While it won't kill you, it can certainly dampen your day, and your life. Here are some signs to help you realize that you are living in denial or not: 1). I am above failure: Some of us are under the illusion that we are far too talented, hard-working or knowledgeable to fail, but the truth is that we are humans and we have flaws. 2). It is imposible to be taken by surprise: Ngozi risignation touched on the element most Nigerians detest, being taken by surprise, 'cos we believe we have everything planned. My question is how is life in that fantasy world of yours treating you? 3). We are never at fault: Others are always at fault, not us, if you want something done right give to a Nigeira. Sorry to have to say this, but not accepting responsibility is one of the most obvious signs of living in denial. 4). Everything Has an Excuse: Niga will find excuses for everything? Even when it is simply living in a fantasy world. Lastly, It is always one big conspiracy: Everyone including their dog is working against them. He is just poor innocent victim in what seems to be one huge conspiracy against him. It is about time we call a spade a spade, and stop living in denial and start seeing things as the are before it gets worst.
