Oyedepo defers Jonathan's slapsgiving ceremony till April 2012

Slap them! Slap them all!
Lagos - Nigeria's wealthiest preacher, Bishop David Oyedepo, has issued a press statement on his decision to defer until April, 2012 the slapsgiving ceremony originally planned for the president, Goodluck Jonathan, on account of the fuel subsidy removal.
His decision, we gathered, came on the heels of the decision by the federal government to defer the removal of subsidy till April 2012.
However, in order not to put to waste the resources that were channelled into the planning of the much-awaited event, the flamboyant preacher has decided to invite the governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Raji Fashola, for a slapsgiving ceremony.
This was necessitated by popular demand of Lagosians in the Lekki area who just started enjoying the admiralty toll plaza.
Details of the new ceremony date were not confirmed as at time of publication.
