Lagos- After viewing the youtube video in which Bishop David Oyedepo dished out an incredible slap to a young helpless girl, the chairman of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Okija branch issued the Bishop with a certificate of honorary membership to their association.
In its letter, the WWE stated that the Bishop displayed qualities that every WWE champion works towards everyday. These include: rabid violence, disregard for age or gender, rapid and irrational fury, and of course an effective right hook – traits also evident in popular wrestling superstars such as the Undertaker, Mankind, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior and of course Macho Man Randy Savage.
The WWE has also given the Bishop a WWE name to be used when wrestling: David the Witch Eradicator.
The WWE Okija branch has fixed the induction ceremony at the T-junction where an Iroko tree grows near the Okija shrine of the river goddess, opposite the meeting place of the gods.
