Dear Ruth,
Is your name not Ruth? Remember Ruth of the Bible? She followed her husband everywhere and even after he died. Follow your husband toNigeria! I can’t shout.
I’m happy you mentioned Nigerian movies. You see, movies are my thing.
You said you saw beautiful Naija girls with big boobs twisting their waist? Is it only that one? Have you seen them doing belly dance? Stay there.
Your case reminds me of one Nollywood movie I watched. This woman had a jobless husband, like you, so she prayed and prayed to God to give her husband a good job. This is a good thing to do.
Then God answered her prayers and gave her husband a big job with a big company, and the job came with big-big things like house and car and driver. This also is good.
But with her man’s elevated status came attention from women of easy virtue. This can be bad.
So do you know what this woman did? She went back on her knees and returned to prayers begging God to take her husband’s new found wealth from him. This is a bad; very bad.
What this woman did not know is that God sometimes gives us exactly what we ask for. The man became broke again. She, his wife, became sick and he did not have money to pay her hospital bills.
At this point I think there was an editing error with the movie because after the doctor listened to her forehead with his stethoscope, (honest, that was where he placed it), and he told them that he couldn’t perform the life saving operation on her unless he, the husband, brought the N200,000 deposit, the picture froze and the words ‘To God be the Glory’ appeared on screen.
Do you see where I’m going with this? Do not be the stumbling block in the path of your husband’s progress. Be his Ruth; follow him!
Besides; what makes you think Abuja girls are after mere aides to senators? Babes have more ambition than that o!
Good luck with all that.
Aunty Ngozi
